Latchman Rohit grabbed 2 wickets for 33 runs then returned to hit a top score of 59 not out as Imam Bacchus SC defeated Affiance SC by 7 wickets when the Central Essequibo Cricket Committee 40-over competition continued last Sunday.
Playing at Imam Bacchus ground, Affiance took first strike and posted 160-7 after the game was reduced to 35 overs due to rain. Eshwar Singh stroked 78, while Kumar Kissoon backed up with 25 and Lallbachan Narine 16. Kholraj Persaud supported Rohit with 2-35.
Imam Bacchus responded with 162-3 in 24 overs with Rohit leading the chase. Yougeshwar Lall lent valuable support with 38 not out, while Nathan Persaud and Navindra Persaud chipped in with 16 and 12 respectively; Kumar Kissoon claimed 2-25.
