The Linden Amateur Basketball Association (LABA) has invited its eight affiliate clubs: Kings, Amelia’s ward Jets, Victory Valley Royals, Retrieve Raiders, Half Mile Bulls, Wismar Pistons, Block 22 Flames and Bankers Trust Falcons to a Special Meeting tomorrow where it will address its Guyana Amateur Basketball Federation suspension.
A release from LABA Secretary, Joe Chapman said that the meeting will start at 7pm and will deal with matters relating to the suspension of Retrieve Raiders forward Dwayne ‘Sugar’ Roberts and other issues that led to his reinstatement.
“The LABA informed that it has noted the public disclosures of the governing body, which included its indefinite suspension of the LABA, and will deal with those issues as they are among others,” the release stated, asking clubs to send two bona-fide representatives to the meeting.
