The Riverton Suites Under 19- 50 overs cricket competition bowls off today in the Upper Corentyne with three first round matches. The tournament is organized by the Upper Corentyne Cricket association (UCCA) and features seven U-19 teams in the area.
At a simple presentation ceremony, which took place earlier,
Dr. Pooran Seepersaud, proprietor of Riverton Suites, handed the Trophies and sponsorship cheque to the President of UCCA Mr Dennis D’Andrade.
The UCCA President praised the Founder President of UCCA Dr. Pooran Seepersaud for coming on board with this much needed sponsorship.
The first place trophy will be in memory of the late Dr. Bud Persaud, Father in law of Dr. Seepersaud and the team that win the trophy for three consecutive year will keep it (the trophy has been promised to be a masterpiece).
