A 14-man squad and six stand-bys were yesterday named by the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) for the regional under-17 cricket Competition slated from the 29 June to 08 July in Trinidad.
Demerara skipper Travis Persaud will lead the team which includes two players with previous experience at this level in Kemo Paul and Shemron Hetymer. Former Essequibo senior inter-county all-rounder Nazeer Mohamed is the Manager and former Guyana First Class off-spinner Gavin Nedd is the Coach.
The full squad read: Travis Persaud (Captain), Shemron Hetmyer, Grisean Grant, Travis Drakes, Ronaldo Renee, Brandon Persaud, Parmesh Parsotam, Kemo Paul, Sherfane Rutherford, Daniel Lewis, Keanu Harry, Navendra Persaud, Permanand Ramdhan, Ryan Adams, Nazeer Mohamed (Manager), Gavin Nedd (Coach)
Standbys: Kasim Khan, Shamar Grayham, Leon Andrews, Nathan Persaud, Clitus Johnson, Balchand Baldeo
