Guyanese Kellon Carmichael grabbed 4 wickets for 19 runs off 8 overs as Club Crusoe defeated C & B United by 6 wickets in the Tobago Cricket Association 40 over competition which continued recently.
Hosts C&B United batted first and were sent packing for 91 in 19.2 overs; Marcus Daniel and Joel Boyce scored 22 each. Bowling for Crusoe, Kellon Carmichael took 4-19, Lusignan all-rounder Jason Persaud 3-13 and former Trinidad and Tobago all-rounder Navin Steward 3-43. Crusoe replied with 92-4 in 15.3 overs. Navin Stewart led with 36 and Jahred Persaud 14 not out. Carmichael was named man of the match for his spell.
Meanwhile, on Sunday, Club Crusoe and Sports Elite played to an exciting tie. Crusoe took first strike after winning the toss and were bowled out for 185 in 39.5 overs; Kwani Thomas top scoring with 60* while Kellon Carmichael made 26.
Bowling for Sports Elite Antonio Providence, Anthony Providence and Shaquille Duncan claimed 2 wickets apiece. Sports Elite in response managed 185-8 in 40 overs. Kellon Lynch led with 57, Antonio Providence 43 and Adrian Alexander 41 not out. Man-of-the-match Kellon Carmichael took 4-24 from 8 overs with 2 maidens.
