2012 Upper Corentyne Second Division 20-Over Cricket Competition
No. 68 Turn Team and Kim IL Sung of Corriverton will meet in the final of the inaugural Upper Corentyne Second Division 20-Over Cricket Competition today.
Today’s final is fixed for the Skeldon Community Centre ground and is scheduled to start at 13:00 hours.
In their semifinal played at the No. 70 Ground, No. 68 Turn Team defeated No. 70 M.Y.O by 50 runs. No. 68 Turn team batting first made 159 for 7 in their 20-overs; No. 70 M.Y.O could only reply with 109 all out in 18.2 overs.
In the other semifinals played at No. 69, Kim IL Sung beat No. 69 Red Rose by 3 wickets. Red Rose made 134 for 7 in their 20-overs; Kim IL Sung 138 for 7 in 19.2 0vers in reply.
The two losing semifinalists, No. 70 M.Y.O and No. 69 Red Rose will be involved in a third-place play-off also today at the same venue from 09:00 hours.
