Under the Ministry of Housing and Water several bids were submitted for the construction of roads, drains and structures and installation of pure water distribution network at Kilcoy/Chesney, Berbice Region six.
The bids were opened by the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board (NPTAB), Ministry of Finance, Main Street yesterday.
The bids were divided into seven lots and the engineers’ estimates were: Lot (1) $144,501,467, Lot (2) $157,176,003, Lot (3) $143,692,313, Lot (4) $183,027,735, Lot (5) $202,896,634, Lot (6) $193,902,852, Lot (7) $92,931,300.

Bids were also opened for the procuring of brochures for the Guyana Energy Agency (GEA) The 30,000 brochures will cover five areas of energy conservation in households; this will be distributed through the country.
With a budgetary estimate of $800,000 the bids were:
