The Berbice Cricket Board on the 16th of September 2012 will create history when it host the first ever 50 over intermediate cricket tournament for sixteen teams in the ancient County.
The tournament is been sponsored by the Neal and Massy Group of Companies and the teams to take part are West Berbice, Bush Lot of West Berbice, D’Edward, Young Warriors, Bermine, Edinburgh, Police, Port Mourant, Courtland, Rose Hall Town Bakewell, Albion, Skeldon, Kim11 Sung, No 70 and No 71.
Teams will only be allowed four first division players per match and all matches will start at 9:30AM.
Fixtures for the first round:
Zone ‘A
Blairmont vs West Berbice at Blairmont
Bush Lot vs D’Edward at Bush Lot
Zone ‘B’
Young Warriors vs Bermine at Cumberland
Edinburgh vs Police at Edinburgh
Zone ‘C’
Port Mourant vs Courtland at Port Mourant
RHT Bakewell vs Albion at Area ‘H’
Zone ‘D’
Skeldon vs Kim 11 Sung at Skeldon
No 71 vs No 70 at No 71
The Berbice Cricket Board would like to inform clubs that the tournament will be played with red balls, white clothes and white sightscreens. Teams conceding walkovers will be sanctioned by the Board.
