Zenette Inc’s aircraft, which was reportedly en route to Brazil, made a fuel stop at CJIAC.
The pilot, Freederico Ratte of Florida the only person onboard, was not injured.
According to Zulfikar Mohammed, Chief Executive Officer of Civil Aviation Authority, the engine of the aircraft will have to be removed and the underside of the plane has to be repaired. The owner of the plane has to bring the engine to Guyana, but the Authority is unaware when that would be done, he added.
