Tucville 8-0 beating of St George’s headlines latest Scotia/Pepsi schools football
Play in the Scotiabank/Pepsi School Football Academy continued last Saturday with three (3) exciting games at the Tucville Ground.
In the first game between Tucville Secondary and St. George’s High School males in Group A, Tucville defeated St. Georges 8-0. Goal scorers for Tucville Secondary were: Kevin Andrews -16th, 32nd & 45th, Dennis Johnson – 47th penalty, Colin Waterman – 50th, Roland Mares – 53rd and Wesley Wishrop 58th.
The Second game saw North Georgetown Secondary and Lodge Secondary in the Females Group B, with North defeating Lodge 3-0. Goal scorers for North Georgetown were National U-17 Lady Jags Althea Holligan who slammed in a hat-trick in the 17th, 24th and 46th minute.
The Final game for the day saw East Ruimveldt Secondary defeating Christ Church Secondary in the males Group B Category 4-1. Scoring for East Ruimveldt were: Romel Legall – 7th, Craig Hughes – 11th and 25th and Ahmad Stephens – 35th.
Christ Church replied through Andre Trotz – 26th minute.
More school football action continues on Wednesday 23rd May with Christ Church Secondary and Lodge Secondary battling in a male Category Group “B” game at 15:30 hrs at the Tucville Ground.
Also on Sat 26th May the final 2 games in the Round Robin Segment are scheduled for the Tucville Ground. At 10:00 hrs North Georgetown & Campbellville will clash in a female match, while at 11:30 hrs St George’s and Queens College males will collide
The Semifinals for both the male and female segment are slated for Saturday 2nd June at the Tucville Ground and the Final is slated for the Ministry of Education Ground on Saturday 16th June.
