Exactly three days after he went missing, 43-year-old Samuel James, formerly of Aripirako, Upper Pomeroon River was discovered floating in the vicinity of the Jacklow area, Thursday morning.
Relatives who launched a search for him on Tuesday last, the same day he was involved in a boat collision, found James, the father of 11, with his face badly disfigured.
Reports indicated that James left his Aripirako residence for Charity, some 14 miles away with the intention of purchasing fuel, when the 75 horse power boat he was traveling in collided with another boat, at Jacklow.
On Wednesday persons in the Jacklow area noticed James’s badly damaged boat and engine drifting at Martindale, Lower Pomeroon.
The police were subsequently informed and an investigation has since been launched.
