Humphrey’s Bakery & Farm Products along with cycling enthusiast Raymond Perez have combined efforts to sponsor Roraima Bikers Club (RBC) 7-member team for the 46th Independence three-stage cycle road race which pedals off today in the Ancient County of Berbice.

Leading RBC’s quest for the team title is tested tried and proven warrior Warren ‘Forty’ Mc Kay who will be ably backed up by Guyana’s sprint king, Alonzo Greaves. This duo has proven their class over the years and along with the likes of Albert ‘Bertie’ Philander, Alex Mendes, junior Mario King and veterans Raymond ‘Steely’ Newton and Virgil Jones, RBC will fancy their chances of topping the other local clubs.
Organised by National Cycling Coach Hassan Mohamed on behalf of the National Sports Commission (NSC), this year’s contest Mohamed has stated has attracted close to 90 starters and all things being equal, last year’s time can be lowered.
