Guyanese athletes on Tuesday swept the Teleg 10km Road Race in Suriname with the respective male and
female winners, Cleveland Forde and Alika Morgan, setting new records.
Forde won the male version of the race in 32:38, erasing the old 34:04 record that Trinidad and Tobago-based Guyanese, Lionel D’Andrade had set last year.
Guyana’s Dennis Horatio was second on Tuesday in 32:50 with D’Andrade relegated to third this time around with 33:02 as the Guyanese swept the Teleg 10k race.
Alika Morgan won the female race in 39:58 as Guyana’s other competitor, while Samuel Kaitan was second among the juniors and seventh overall in Suriname.
