– New Silvercity latest team to register full points
Wisburg Secondary School Ground was the venue of intense football action
on Thursday when play in the Edward Screw’ Richmond Memorial Football Tournament continued. For the seasoned campaigners, the journey to one of the top four positions on the table seems to be an insurmountable task.
In the opening game, New Silvercity inflicted a 3-0 drubbing on Linden Foundation with Seon Paddy of the losers netting an own goal in the 14th minute of play, while Jonathan Fredericks hammered in a brace in the 19th and 39th minutes respectively.
In the second matchup, defending champions Harmony (HSS) scraped a draw against a determined Christianburg / Wismar (CWSS) with Kwesi Quintin netting in the 2nd minute for CWSS, while Shaquel Clarke responded for HSS in the 66th minute of play.
Action continues Friday 16th and Sat. 17th at the Linden Technical Institute Ground as Kwakwani Secondary do battle with Wisburg Secondary and Linden Technical Institute respectively.
Meanwhile, here below is the tabulated table of the schools performances so far after 3 games except Kwakwani Secondary School:
