PRBG reps to highlight amateur segment
Exciting crowd pleasers and representatives of the Pocket Rocket Boxing Gym, Joel and Richard Williamson will be in action when the Guyana Boxing Board of Control (GBBC), in collaboration with the Guyana Amateur Boxing Association (GABA) and the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCY&S), stages the 21st edition of the ProAm Boxing cards at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall (CASH) Friday March 30, next.
Joel will box against Shawn Michael of the Forgotten Youth Foundation (FYF) in a light/flyweight bout while his brother Richard will face off with another FYF pugilist, Delon Charles, in a middleweight encounter.
Two other bouts will complete the amateur segment including Keisha Arokium of the Rosehall Jammers (RHJ) matching gloves with Ansila Norville of the Harpy Eagles Boxing Gym (HEBG) in a bantamweight affair while Ron Smith (GDF) clashes with Romeo Norville (HEBG) in the middleweight division.
The amateur segment precedes the professional card and those boxers will receive large food hampers from furniture giants, Courts, who has been sponsoring these youngsters ever since the card started some two years ago.
Admission to the venue remains at $1000 for adults while children will pay half that amount.
