Following the completion of the preliminary rounds of the Super League Play Off, Amelia’s Ward (AW) of Linden and Den Amstel (DA) of West Demerara have qualified to participate in the 2012 edition of the Super League on Sunday 4 March at the McKenzie Sports Club (MSC) ground in Linden.
They two teams have replaced Linden’s Top XX and Bartica’s Liquid Gold who placed 9th and 10th in the 2010 edition; there was no League in 2011.
Pele Football Club (PFC) and Western Tigers (WT) have been drafted in to replace Sunburst Camptown (SC) and Guyana Defence Force (GDF) who have opted not to participate in the 2012 edition due to various reasons.
A meeting was also held yesterday morning for all participating Clubs and Associations at the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) Office which is located in Dadanawa Street, Section K Campbellville.
Acting President of GFF, Franklin Wilson, indicated that the meeting held was to discuss the logistics of the game scheduled for this weekend and also to clear any query that Clubs would have had.
