Following overwhelming responses that have been flowing into GT&T as well as
Executive members of the Guyana Softball League (GSL), a collective decision has been taken to extend the registration period for this year’s competition.
Teams that have been in preparation with their eyes focused on cashing in on the more than Thirty Million dollars in prizes and incentives at stake will have some more time to fine tune and strategize with the date now being extended from February 11 to February 20,2012.
Registration forms are only available in the colourful GT&T Magazine that are available at the company’s Business Offices and members of the GSL; each at a cost of just $1,000.
Male and female teams from across Guyana are eagerly awaiting the chance to get their game going in what is anticipated to be a bigger and more competitive tournament that is expected to attract a record amount of teams.
Defending male champions, Wolf Warriors have already expressed confidence of going all the way but will have their work cut as hundreds of other teams are also eyeing the top prize. New female champions will be crowned this time around since last year’s champions, Berbice All Stars no longer exists.
The GT&T 10/10 competition has become a household event in Guyana, etching its name in the sporting calendar as the major competition in terms of teams registering to compete.
CEO of GT&T Yog Mahadeo at the launching had stated that he was proud but humbled by the massive response the tournament has received over the past two years.
