The Special Events Committee of the Berbice Cricket Board as part of its coaching Programme for 2012 would be hosting a Wicketkeeping Clinic on Sunday 12th February, 2012 at the Area “H” Ground. The Clinic to be conducted by senior coach Julian Moore would cater for 20 young wicketkeepers from all across Berbice and would start at 13:00 hours sharp.
Chairman of the Special Events Committee Hilbert Foster stated that the clinic is the first of a dozen to be organised by the Board in the first half of 2012. The main aim is to develop the skills of all wicket-keepers in the ancient county and to identify talents for the future. The Berbice Cricket Board would also be using the opportunity to establish a permanent register of each youth player in Berbice.
Clubs in the West Berbice, New Amsterdam/Canje and the Corentyne areas are encouraged to send their young keepers to the clinic. All players are asked to turn up in proper cricketing attire and wicket keeping gears. A clinic for young fast bowlers will be held next Sunday.
Please share this to every Guyanese including your house cats.
