Following another successful year on the local, regional and international scene, the Guyana Amateur Powerlifting Federation (GAPF) will reward their outstanding athletes who have done well for themselves and country.

Morgan, a 3-time Caribbean champion and Best Lifter was unbeatable on the local scene again last year and will be headlining Guyana’s challenge at the  6th IPF/NAPF Caribbean Powerlifting Championships set for the United States Virgin Islands, March 28th – April 1, 2012.
He is ranked at 21st out of 164 athletes rated by the International Powerlifting Federation (IPF) in the 83kg division and was in destructive mode at the last Caribbean championships when storming into the record books following a clean sweep of the opposition with records in the squat, bench press, dead lift and total (overall).

Adjudged as the top male sub-junior was Gumendra Shewdas, who competes in the 53kg division.
All four athletes are part of the Guyana team for the Caribbean Championships.
