CONCACAF Women’s U17 WCQ Round 2…Lady Jags face Soca Princesses; Bahamas clash with Reggae Princesses

Following wins over Anguilla (2-0) and a draw with Curacao (1-1) Guyana’s Under-17 Lady Jags will be

embarking on another quest of making themselves and country proud when they face Trinidad and Tobago in opening action of the CONCACAF World Cup Qualifying Second Round at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex, Kingston, Jamaica.
The feature game of the double header will see home team Jamaica taking on the Bahamas which is being coached by Guyanese Paul James.
The young Guyanese team is a focused unit despite some challenges they faced on arrival in Jamaica, Manager Rawle Adams having to deal with some issues relating to accommodation.
That apart the team which has three overseas based players in powerful midfielder Sara Vaughn who has two goals at this level in two games, Leah Chisholm-Alison and Kailey Leila.
They will combine forces with their local sisters Prescilla Allan, Althea Holligan, Jenell Browne, Tasnica Lovell, Keisha Gordon, Anaida Walker, Keishell Moore, Keshanna Hunte, Rachel Subick, Beverly Rodrigues, Sasha Loo, Sheneeze Henry, Kerry Thomas, Fatima Domingo, Junita Ernest, Erica Juan, Dian Mandokin, Urseline Primus, Shonette Gasper, Everne Ambrose and Alicia Simpson and will be aiming to make their country proud.
Guyana will face the home team on December 1 while they lock horns with the Bahamas on December 3 at the same venue.
The top three teams from this round of qualifying will advance to next year’s eight-team CONCACAF finals.
Head Coach of the Guyana team is Lyndon France who is being assisted by Chevon Monchior, Andrea Fredericks and Ronette Cort (GK), Ayana Chase (Physio) and Adams as Manager.
