The Guyana Badminton Association will be running off its Bi-Annual General
Election for the Years 2012-2014 in December. The Association would like to inform all affiliated Clubs to send two representatives to attend this meeting.
The GBA will also be running off the Annual Woodpecker Junior Tournament in December which would be held at the Queens College Badminton Courts.
Meanwhile, GBA National Coach Gokarn Ramdhani, who is currently in Changsha, China doing the Advance Training Course in Badminton, is scheduled to complete the programme December 15.
He noted that the knowledge gained at this Course will take Guyana Badminton to a higher level as the training here is being done by top level coaches and China is known to be the Number 1 in the World in Badminton.
This Course organized by the Ministry of Commerce, People’s Republic of China and the Economic & Commercial Counselor’s Office of the People’s Republic of China in Guyana is taking place in Changsha City from October 19 to December 13 at the Hunan International Business Vocational College.
The Course for high level Coaches includes China’s basic national conditions, development status and trends of world badminton , badminton sports and its competition rules, badminton sports psychology, strength and endurance training, badminton techniques and tactics.

History of the Development of Badminton

How to Become an Excellent Badminton Coach
