Action in the Ministry of Culture, Youth & Sport Inter-block 7:15 football Competition swings to the Mining Town of Linden today starting at 4:00pm.
Parliamentary Secretary in the Sports Ministry, Steve Ninvalle, will be on hand for the formalities and witness the action.
The Linden tournament will see the competing teams battling in four pools with the eventual winners clashing in the zone final for the right to compete in the national playoff.
Pool A – Christianburg will see Eagles vs Attackers and Train line vs Blueberry Hill, Pool B will feature Silvertown vs Scheme and Half Mile vs One Mile. The winners of the two Pools will meet for a spot in the semifinals.
The other two Pools will compete tomorrow. Pool C – Amelia’s Ward will see Self Help vs Breezena and Cinderella City vs Well Road/S. Lane, while in Pool D – Silvercity vs Wisroc and Block 22 vs Canvas City with the winners advancing to play for a semi spot.
Meanwhile, the East Bank zone finals will be played on Saturday at the Diamond Community Centre ground.
In scheduled play, Mocha Nelson Street vs Soesdyke North, Timehri Round Da Road vs Grove Back Street, while Kuru Kururu Ideals got the bye to the semis.
