With the Guyanese football fans still in celebration mode after the national ‘Golden Jaguars’ team humbled their more established counterparts from Trinidad and Tobago on Friday evening, at the National Stadium, activity in the GFA / President Beer Super League resumes today with a triple-header at the GFC ground, starting from 16:00 hrs. In the opening encounter, Black Pearl take on Northern Rangers and that game will be followed by the clash between Houston Stars and the Guyana Police Force from 18:?00 hrs, while the feature match pit Sunburst Camptown versus the Guyana Defence Force at 20:00 hrs.
The final game of the night should b an interesting affair with the soldiers fresh off a narrow win against Santos looking to maintain their good start to the tournament, while Camptown, who looked way below their best in their previous game will have to improve if they are to get past a fit and enthusiastic Army side.
The Army will be depending on the likes of Delroy Deen, Dason Ryan, Paul Bobb, Nigel Brathwaite and goalkeeper Rodwell Sandy to lead them to victory, while Camptown’s quest for a win will rest on the shoulders of the experienced Troy Prescod, Leon Muir, Lance Ralston, Devon Forde and Rishawn Sandiford.
