Guyana and Barbados will clash on three consecutive days at Football this weekend. Following the two countries clash in a World Cup qualifying preliminary fixture at the National Stadium today, tomorrow and Sunday the countries will meet at the Masters Level at the GFC Ground, Bourda.
Both teams will feature former National Stalwarts with Barbados being led by Former Captain John ‘Nobby’ Parris, George Skeete, Rodney Barker, Albert Matt and Larry Alleyne. Guyana’s Challenge will be led by Anthony Stanton, Garfield ‘Snooks’ Shepherd, Orin ‘Shortman’ Agard and Floyd ‘Running Man’ Cadogan with Gordon Brathwaite as Coach. There will be preliminary games on both days, before the feature Masters clash. Tomorrow Pele Under-23 led by Quincy Adams, Sheldon Holder and Daniel Wilson will clash with Linden’s Net Rockers Under-23 led by Clarence Huggins and Trenton Lashley.
While on Sunday the two Fastball Finalists, Pele FC and Western Tigers will meet in a 90 minute Game. The Tigers will have Dwayne Alli, Sherman ‘Pluto’ David and Nedd ‘Chevy’ Fraser in their line – up while Pele FC will include Solomon Austin, Mervyn ‘Shumaka’ Liverpool, Marvin ‘Springer’ Joseph and Stellon David.
Football action begins at 5:00pm on both days.
