Football fans are assured of unbridled entertainment when the Futsal football extravaganza organized by the Georgetown Football Association (GFA) in collaboration with the National Sports Commission (NSC) continues tonight at the National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue.
The tournament got underway on June 21st last and will conclude on July 17 next. All teams affiliated to the GFA are involved in the competition and the action is expected to reach fever pitch when the tournament continues tonight.
Tonight’s matches get underway at 19:00hrs with the Police FC up against Rhythm Squad FC. Santos FC will next face off with the YMCA shortly before Sunburst Camptown opposes Beacon FC. In the final match of the night, the Guyana Defence Force will tackle Thomas United FC.
The action continues on Thursday with five other exciting encounters. The Georgetown Football Club (GFC) will tackle Black Pearl followed by defending Fruta champions, Flamingo attempting to enforce their dominance over Thomas Utd. Alpha ‘The Hammer’ United will then face off with Houston Stars shortly before Fruta Conquerors play the University of Guyana. The GDF will round off the night’s activities when it tackles Charlestown.
