Total Fitness Gym for the second successive year in an effort to encourage gym members and members of the public to inculcate fitness and healthy living as a positive habit, successfully staged the second edition of the Biggest Loser contest, the final held last Sunday evening at the Diamond Community Centre.
This year it was a three way battle between Stacey McKinnon, Audito McCalman and the lone male, Nazim Mohamed.
The final weigh-in took place in front of the audience at the Fitness Express/Total Fitness Mania 2, Bodybuilding competition which was well attended and supported.
When the competition commenced a few months ago, Mohamed tipped the scales at 228lbs, McKinnon weighed in at 169lbs, while McCalmon touched the scales at 212lbs. At the final weigh-in on Sunday evening last, Mohamed came in at 196lbs, McKinnon 150.8 and the winner, McCalman 170.
McCalman expressed delight being declared the winner and promised to continue the trend of staying healthy and fit. For her efforts, she was presented with a trophy and a hamper compliments of Fitness Express.
Mohamed and McKinnon were also congratulated and encouraged to keep working hard while members of the audience were also challenged to adapt a disciplined and healthy approach to life by exercising and eating the right foods. (Franklin Wilson)
