Trinidad and Tobago’s national distance athlete, Richard Jones topped Guyana’s Lionel D’Andrade for the second time in one weekend when he claimed the Mason Hall 10km Road Race in Tobago Sunday afternoon.
Jones returned 33:39 to beat D’Andrade, who was second in 34:18 and Michael Alexander, who finished third in 34:28 seconds. The other Guyanese in the race, Kelvin Johnson was fourth with Guyanese Oslyn Collins winning the female race.
Jones had beaten D’Andrade on Saturday in a Toyota 5km Road Race, which saw regional and international distance runner, Pamenos Ballantyne slumped to third place.
