Defending Singles champions Jeremy Miller and Carol Humphrey are expected to face stiff opposition when the GBTI Open Tennis Championships get underway on June 11, at the Bank’s Sports Club Hardcourts.
Twelve categories are expected to be contested with the Men’s and Ladies Singles being the marquee events during the prestigious two-week event which ends on June 26.
Interested participants can uplift their entry forms from the GBTI Sports club, Guyana Pegasus, Ram & Mc Rae office or from their clubs and coaches.
Closing day for entries is on Tuesday, June 7th.
This is the second major Open tournament organised by the Guyana Tennis Association (GLTA) for the year.
Categories to be contested are as follows:
Men’s Open Singles, Boys U-18 Singles, Ladies Open Singles Girls U-18 Singles, Men’s 35 and Over Singles, Men’s 45 and Over Singles, Ladies Open Doubles, Men’s Open Doubles, Men’s 35 and Over Doubles, Men’s 45 and Over Doubles, Men’s 55 and Over Doubles and Mixed Open Doubles.
