The defendant who resides at Lot 58 William Street Kitty was represented by attorney at law George Thomas and was not required to plead to the charge when it was read to him.
Police Prosecutor Venetta Pindar stated that the accused is known to the police.
Pindar told the court that on May 21st the complainant secured his store and went home. On the day in question about 07:00 hours he received a phone call informing him that his store door was open.
He immediately rushed down to the location only to discover a ransacked store with missing articles. Khan then went to have a look at his surveillance camera and saw the image of the defendant.
A report was made to the police and the defendant was subsequently arrested; showed the tape and admitted to the crime after which he was charged.
