Fitness Express, Specialists in health and fitness products and located at 47 Sheriff Street, Campbellville yesterday confirmed their partnership with Total Fitness Gym of Grove East Bank Demerara for the latter’s second annual in gym competition set for June 18 at the Diamond Community Centre.
Dubbed, Fitness Express/Total Fitness Mania 2, over 30-athletes from the gym will be showcasing their sculpted bodies as they aim to outdo each other on stage. Yesterday, Fitness Express Manager, Ian Rogers, handed over a letter of commitment to representative of Total Fitness, Tyron Eusebio, at their Sheriff Street location.
Rogers, noted that Fitness Express was on board for the inaugural competition last year and was pleased with the level of commitment shown by the athletes both male and female and had no hesitation when approached by Total Fitness to be on board again this year.
He said that they will be donating hampers made up of their products to the winners of the various categories as well as the overall winners.
Eusebio disclosed that there will be a novice and senior competition for the male athletes; a Ms. Total Fitness Best Legs, which will see 3 competitors, while there will also be the conclusion of the Biggest Loser competition which has attracted six-persons.
The Novice competition will be contested in the Under-143 and 155-165 weight divisions, while seniors will match muscles in the 165-174 and over 174 categories.
It was disclosed that reigning Mr. Total Fitness Mania 1, Travis Peters will be the guest poser at this year’s event which will start at 18:30hrs on Saturday June 18, 2011.
