A motorcyclist identified as 24-year-old Brian Mahadeo of Brahn, West Coast Berbice was badly injured when he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into a post at the corner of the road at Rosignol, West Bank Berbice. He sustained injuries to his head and spine.
The accident occurred yesterday around 03:00 hrs as Mahadeo was about to negotiate the turn from the Stelling Road to access the main public Road at Rosignol.
He was picked up in an unconscious condition and rushed to the New Amsterdam Hospital. He was subsequently transferred to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC).
When Kaieteur News arrived at the GPHC yesterday afternoon, Mahadeo was receiving medical treatment at the ICU.
