Dear Editor,
Tacuma Ogunseye executive member of the African Cultural Development Association (ACDA) is calling for massive riots to force the PPP/C government into a power sharing deal. His statements come as no surprise to me because I can vividly recall this very same character making such riotous comments last year in a fiery article in the print media.
He is again making these war appeals knowing full well the danger this might have on peace and security in the nation, let alone race relations. Ogunseye in his ‘war cry’ is also asking the security forces, comprising predominantly of Afro-Guyanese to “join the riots and protect their brothers and sisters on the streets.” This is naked aggression pure and simple and a sample text of a bigger plan. I shall take up this subject in a detailed way in a subsequent article.
Now, the ACDA and its compatriot PNCR has given token opposition to Ogunseye’s comments by making such statements as “they support the call for shared governance, but distance themselves from the rest of his text as it relates to violence.” I will say this is hogwash, the mere fact that you share part of this fool’s statement is tantamount to all of it. None of these power hungry individuals can convince anyone that they are not in agreement with Ogunseye. They are all party to the crime. They are only sorry that he was so vocal and has let the cat out of the bag.
If the ACDA is so concerned about Ogunseye’s statements they should have fired him forthrightly to have him as an elected official, an executive member at that shows that they are in full compliance with what he said.
