With gold prices continuing to rise to record highs during last week, disorderly murders continue seeming unabated in the interior with the latest occurring on Friday night in the Pamela Backdam, Mahdia.
Police have confirmed that a miner who is so far only known as ‘Shane’ was stabbed to death by another man some time around 20:00 hours.
According to the police, the victim was involved in an argument with the other man during which he was stabbed to his chest.
‘Shane’ was taken to the Mahdia Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The suspect has been arrested and is assisting with the investigations.
