Tiffany Clarke, 19, the teen accused of killing her lesbian lover last month, was yesterday further remanded to prison after she made her second court appearance before Magistrate Priya Beharry.
Clarke, of 97 Hadfield Street, is accused of killing Senobia Haynes on February 26 at Robb Street.
Clad in blue denim skirt and white jersey, Clarke made her way into the courtroom accompanied by her lawyer Basil Williams.
The matter was adjourned for May 3, for report on fixture for the commencement of the preliminary inquiry.
It was reported that the couple had multiple arguments and Clarke had threatened to kill Haynes.
Kaieteur News understands that Clarke and Haynes were at the Red Dragon night club on Robb Street when Clarke saw Haynes speaking to another woman and confronted her.
It was alleged that Clarke took out a knife from her pocket and stabbed Haynes in her neck. Haynes collapsed and was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
The police were summoned and the accused was subsequently arrested and questioned about the incident, to which she admitted, and for which she was subsequently charged.
