The National Sports Commission sponsored domino competition for persons with disabilities held over the weekend was full of excitement.
Playing for the first time in the competition, Kitty Deaf Club dominated the competition, winning convincingly.
The event concluded with Kitty Deaf Club scoring 43 games, runner up team Guyana Deaf Mission 24 games and Guyana Society for the Blind 23 games.
The Top Scorer, with twelve (12) games in addition to executing the first love was Netram Mahabal aka Gairy of the Kitty Deaf Club.
The love bird was Ronald Abel of Guyana Deaf Mission.
Sports Organiser Mr. Wilton Spencer presented trophies and medals to the winning and runner up teams, while Mr. Shawn Thomas presented a trophy to the Top Scorer Netram Mahabal. The love bird, Ronald Abel, also made a presentation to Netram Mahabal for executing the first love.
The National Sports Commission has expressed thanks to Mr. Lawrence Hallahan, Pastor of Guyana Deaf Mission for the venue which hosted the competition and Mr. Shawn Thomas for assisting in mobilizing the players.
