Dear Editor,
It’s very sad to read your papers daily and see all the negative things that are happening in our once “Oh Beautiful Guyana”, now our dangerous Guyana.
I do not compare the United States with Guyana, as some people would do, because over here we get justice for crimes and the most important thing is we have freedom of speech.
Mark and Freddie are fighting for the citizens’ health when it comes to that dumpsite and they are always arresting Mark. That young man is very intelligent and had an excellent position here in the States so he is no fool. I would place him in the category of Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcom X as being a human rights activist and fighting for peace and justice. Why are they dumping trash in the burial ground in the first place? The burial ground is for our faithful departed to be placed and be rested, not to be made a trash haven. The administration is a waste of time because they are not helping the country in any way, shape or form. The crime rate is sky high, the drugs rate is sky high, robberies, domestic violence crimes are through the roof and no one seems to be getting “Justice”. The citizens can see that they have support from us Guyanese/American citizens and they need to take to the street for justice.
Mrs. M. Waters
Where is the BETTER MANAGEMENT/RENEGOTIATION OF THE OIL CONTRACTS you promised Jagdeo?
