The Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA) this morning received two pairs of Wicketkeeping gloves from Guyanese-born International Cricket Commentator Joseph ‘Reds’ Perreira.
The presentation was done at Cara Lodge in Georgetown and Perreira said the donation is the fulfillment of a promise he made to the GCA.
The 71-year-old founder of the Reds Pereira Sports Foundation urged the GCA to make full use of the gloves.
GCA President and former West Indies off-spinner Roger Harper assured Perreira that the gloves will be put to maximum use and thanked him for the timely contribution. Perreira also presented a Net-ball and a set of bibs to the Guyana Netball Association.
