…$47.9M bid among tenders submitted
The National Procurement and Tender Administration Board yesterday opened several sealed bids for various proposals, including the procurement of works for the extension of a road east of the incomplete Cacique Hotel, located aback of Princess Hotel, at Providence, on the East Bank of Demerara.
The Engineer’s estimate for the project as was pointed by one of the members of the Tender Board, Natasha Ramotar is $21,635,000
Three bids were submitted:
– Cares Engineering Incorporated – $47,991,000
– Ivor Allen – $23,551,860
– Courtney Benn – $32,540,000
As it relates to the Ministry of Health, there were bids opened for the provision of the maintenance of Air Condition Units. This was a re-tendered project and the representative of the Ministry of Health could not explain to the Tender Board why the project had to be re-tendered.
Ramotar in announcing the bidders for the project said:
– Antarctic Maintenance and Repairs submitted a bid of $3,021,568
– G-Holford Air-conditioning and Electrical Services – $5,430,000
– Green Aged Refrigeration Services – $6,252,000
– Atlantic Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Services – $3,019,200
Under the Ministry of Agriculture, there were invitations for bids for the supply of motor vehicles, and while it was not announced just home vehicles bids were received and opened from National Hardware Investment Incorporated to the tune of $11,834,709 and from Associated Industries Limited.
A technical proposal was also presented for the development of a website and provide/install networking services at the Supreme Court among other projects.
