The Guyana Police Force will be sponsoring a Veterans Table Tennis Tournament which will be played on Monday July 05 commencing at 1000hrs at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall, Homestretch Avenue, Georgetown.
Entrance to the competition is free and it will be contested in three categories – over 35 years, over 40 years and over 50 years. However, persons who have represented the country within the past three years are debarred from entering the competition.
Players will be competing for trophies and cash awards.
Persons interested in participating in the Veterans Table Tennis Tournament are asked to make contact with the Police Force Sports Secretariat, Parade Street, Georgetown (telephone number 225-5402) or the Police Public Relations and Press Officer on telephone numbers 225-5401 or 227-2685.
The registration of players for the tournament will commence at 0900hrs on Monday July 05 at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall and they are requested to be in possession of some form of identification, such as national identification card or passport.
