Dear Editor,
Our Russian Economist is at it again, calling the media reports “cake shop” reporting. I wonder if he considers himself a ‘cake shop economist’, after all what kind of economics did the Russians practice in those days.
Fip Motilall has never built anything in his life yet he gets a US$15M contract because his was the lowest tender.
Well I have heard before from the cake shop economist that they accepted tenders that were not necessarily the lowest because of expertise and capacity. So that cake shop excuse wouldn’t hold water even in this rainy season.
By the way, what about the cake shop koker that just “cillapsed”, and the cake shop stelling at Supenaan, which caused millions of dollars, not forgetting the wharf at Charity which floated away.
Of course we must not forget the ‘Dolphin Man’ selling land like if he selling cakes in a cake shop. Interesting his PNC buddies have disclaimed that he had rights to such land.
It is interesting to note that the cake shop economist is always in the habit of defending his incompetent bakers, Kwamy, Kellawan, Dolphin Man, Fip and the list goes on, yet he is always after reports from the international agencies that analyse his baker shop activities.
It’s always that they spoke to the wrong people, are biased, did not take this or that into consideration, but the true picture is that in cake shop economics (Russia) they are not accustomed to objective analysis, no one does that in those countries.
What is however, sad is when the head of the private sector agrees with the cake shop economics.
I hope the Guyanese people wake up and see who is the real cake shop people in Guyana and stop eating all the salt bread they have been feeding them.
