Defending champions Georgetown have maintained their unbeaten run in the Guyana Football Federation Inter Association Under-17 League which kicked on over the weekend.
The City side edged out home team Berbice by the odd goal in 3 and with the result secured their spot in the semi-finals as the winner of group B which also includes Bartica and Berbice. At the Uitvlugt Community Centre Ground, West Demerara over powered East Demerara 4-1 in their Group B match-up.
A double header will be contested on Saturday at the Uitvlugt Ground from 14:00hrs. Bartica challenge Berbice to be followed by an encounter between West Demerara and Upper Demerara. The respective first and second placed teams will move on to the semi-finals.
Women’s League
In the lone fixture played on Saturday, Bartica prevailed over East Demerara 3 goals to 2. The Upper Demerara/Berbice clash was not played since hosts Berbice were not able to field a team.
