Dem have mad people and dem have really mad people. Some of de really mad people wukking in de Waterfalls paper.
A man get pay and de money mek he go in de toilet. He mussy go fuh hide it from dem boys. This man, Benjie, who is a sports reporter and who use to box, lef de money in de toilet like if he didn’t know is he own. Dem boys remember that this same man lef he phone in a car and when he come out announce big and bold that somebody lef some old phone in de car. He actually carry it to de lost and found in de Brickdam Police Station.
A man pick up de money and show a colleague who tell he fuh hide it. When Benjie miss de money, fuh a dark man he tun white. In fact, that was de fuss thing de people notice when he walk back through de door. Dem notice that de man had a strange colour.
He go to Uncle Adam and start fuh cry. He claim how he got wife and children and how dem gun hungry.
People who didn’t know, feel bad because dem believe that thief in de place. But dem boys find out something else. De man didn’t even got gas in he car.
He get back de pay because de man who find it tell everybody that he don’t have hair in de palm of he hand. All he mean is that nutten don’t stick in he hand.
Some people can’t seh de same thing. Dem boys seh that dem have people who got access to de public treasury and who always got dem hand inside.
Some of dem does put dem hand in people pocket without asking. De people who end up in this position does call it a bribe.
Dem boys seh that money ain’t everything, but tell that to Benjie. And tell that to Bharrat who dem boys seh does travel round de world seeking it.
