Let rank and file members choose presidential candidate
Dear Editor,
The People Progressive Party (PPP) should do what UNC did in Trinidad – go to its membership to choose a presidential candidate.
By doing this, the party will debunk the misconceived notion that it is dictatorial and run by a small band of self serving people. Should the party go this route it will become clear that there are only two persons that its membership wants – either Mr. Navin Chandarpal or Mr. Moses Nagamootoo.
So let the rank and file of the party choose, and may the better person prevail. No contender can then claim that he/she was cheated out of the position.
