GTTA names Cadet, Junior teams

To confirm addition for Caribbean C/ships

The Guyana Table Tennis Association (GTTA) has named its representative teams for the Caribbean Table Tennis Pre-Cadets, Cadets and Junior Championships that will be held in Utuado, Puerto Rico from March 27-April 2. The association had released a short-list of potential players two weeks ago and subjected those identified to subsequent training. However, the names Kaieteur Sport received were those deduced from that previous short-list of players.
This newspaper was informed that the association is currently awaiting word from Puerto Rico on the inclusion of some players in the Under-15 Category. Therefore, there was an allowance of five standbys in that age group.
The teams are as follows.
Under-10 Boys: Amit Mookram, Jeremy Singh and Khalil Ninvalle. There is one more person to be confirmed in this category while the association is unclear about the girls’ unit.
Under-13 Boys: Joseph Johnson, Jamaal Duff, Kyle Edghill and Ryan Naraine.
Under-13 Girls: Chelsea Edghill, Priscilla Greaves, Jamaali Homer and Tiara Narine.
Under-15 Boys: Denzil Duff, Stephen Patior, Jamaal Duff and Samuel Fraser.
Under-15 Girls: Akecia Nedd, Olivia Weekes, Edghill and Greaves.
Under-18 Boys: Nigel Bryan, Brandon Baldie, Denzil Hopkinson and Zane Humphrey.
Under-18 Girls: Adielle Rosheuvel, Ambrose Thomas, Angelina Rampersaud and Saskia Chung.
The standbys are Elishaba Johnson, Sachin Panday, Allistair Parks, Sunil Logan and Stefan Corlette.
