Courts Pacesetters won twice in one night to boost their confidence Sunday night when the Georgetown Amateur Basketball Association (GABA) Division I and III Leagues continued at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall.
Pacesetters opened the night with a Division III 77-51 points’ win against the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) with Kieth Tute scoring 17 points, Richard Mohandatt 16 points and Travis Williams 13 points for the winning team.
Jermaine Newton scored 15 points and Rondel Edwards 12 points for GDF in the game. Pacesetters then returned to win their Division I game 79-55 against Nets with Stephon Gillis putting up 18, Travis Burnette 17 and Royston Siland 14 points.
Drumson McCulley had 19 points for Nets with Triston Tulloch 10 points. Another third division encounter had separated the two Pacesetters win. Ravens had won against Nets in the second game 74-56 putting Nets down twice.
Tyron Hamid scored 24 points for Ravens while Delon Davidson scored 11 points. Jamal Thompson had 23 points for Nets. The tournament continues with Bounty Colts taking on Maccabbees, Pacesetters challenging Nets and East/West Fire playing in the feature game against Colours Panthers.
