Two men lost their lives yesterday in another vehicular accident, this time on a dusty road in Guyana’s interior. Police said that Troy Rodrigues, 28 of Bartica and Alan Wills of Parika were killed on the spot when the all terrain vehicle they were riding collided head on with a truck on the Takatu Road, Mazaruni. The accident occurred around 08:30 hours and the bodies were not brought out to Bartica until late yesterday afternoon. Kaieteur News was told that the two men were blinded by the dust on the road and did not see the truck until it was too late. Maurice Rodrigues, the father of one of the dead men, told this newspaper that he learnt of his son’s death from a woman who operates a shop in the Mazaruni area. “From wha I understand, he neck break,” Rodrigues said. He told this newspaper that his son had left for the interior last Friday after coming out to purchase some items. Troy Rodrigues leaves to mourn three children one of whom resides in the United Kingdom.
