A ball of fire which gushed out of the chimney at the popular Pepper’s Brazilian restaurant in the city sparked panic for residents nearby.
An official at the Regent Street restaurant said that the fat from the meat being cooked caused the fire to spew out the chimney.
Nearby residents grew fearful and decided to call in the Guyana Fire Service. However, the restaurant workers had already quelled the flames. Here the owner of the restaurant pours a bowl of water on the cooker.
