National left arm spinner Ricardo Adams and Moin Khan shared eight wickets between them as Wakenaam defeated Leguan by 8 wickets when the Guyana Cricket Board U-15 50 overs Cricket competition continued last Wednesday in Essequibo with one match in zone B.
At Enterprise ground in Leguan, the host batted first and were bowled out for 71 in 24 overs. Saif Jairy (27) and Shivdyal Himay (10) were the only batsmen that offered resistance while extras contributed 22.
Adams and Khan bagged 4 wickets for 3 runs each and medium pacer Leorayan Ramlakhan took 2-19 in a game that was reduced to 45 overs. Wakenaam in reply made 74-2 in 10 overs with opener Rashaad Rasheed leading the way with 23 while Adams returned to score 20 not out and skipper Mohamed Hassan an unbeaten 14. Paul Williams grabbed 2-12 for Leguan.
