Action continues countrywide in Carib Beer Softball Tournament

Cricket buffs are encouraged to support the various matches in the Carib Beer National Softball Tournament when the action continues tomorrow at venues countrywide. The tournament is organized by Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport in collaboration with the Guyana Softball League. The organizers have promised much action as some of the big teams would be battling for honours.
The action gets underway at the Uitvlugt Ground WCD at 10:00hrs when Wolf Warriors   XI play Surprise Warriors XI. The latter team return two hours later to play Hyde Park XI at the same venue.
In zone B matches scheduled for Georgetown at 22:00hrs under floodlights at the Eve Leary Ground, Regal XI clash with Mafia XI while at 12:00hrs Farm Masjid XI            tackle Renegade XI in a zone ‘F’ match.
At 14:00hrs, Farm Masjid XI return for their second encounter for the day against         Zahir XI in Zone ‘C’ matches on the Ogle Ground ECD; Rockets XI play Sleep Inn XI.
At noon Trophy Stall XI throw down the gauntlet on Gopaul Mandir followed by a 14:00hrs duel between Trophy Stall XI and Uprising XI.
Early in the day at 10.00hrs Hitters XI tackle Non Pariel XI while at 12:00hrs Sleep Inn X1 return for their second match against Hot Steppers XI.
Other matches include Hanso XI against Hot Steppers XI, Vipers XI versus Enterprise XI and Hanso XI, in a second match against Harry XI. Vipers XI play Hitters XI followed by an encounter on the Success Ground between Rockets XI and Mike Photocopy Centre XI. At the Unity Ground, Vikings XI return for an encounter against Unity Lancaster XI while the latter team engage New Generation XI later in the day.
At the Helena # 2 Ground EBE, Randy XI battle Chris Auto Sales & Spares XI just before Supply XI and Water Land DX XI face off. Matches continue at 14:00hrs with Water Land DX X1 playing for a second time against Randy XI. Farmers XI and Helena Mandir will play shortly afterwards just before Farmers XI, in their second match, oppose Vikings XI.
In matches to be played at the De Hoop Ground starting at 09:00hrs, Bomb Squad XI play Auto Fashion XI while at the Cane Grove Ground, Young Warriors tackle Water Land DX.
The action moves to the Christianburg Ground, Linden for the Zone ‘D’ match between Uprising XI and Royal Champions XI. The final match for the day is scheduled for Zone E, in Berbice when Young Guns tackle Rangers XI starting at 09:00hrs.
