Mega salaries and allowances

I must once more commend Kaieteur News for highlighting what is better termed, “eye pass” to the ordinary Guyana citizen who must settle for 3% and 6%, while the ‘fat cats’ in Government splash in mega salaries and allowances.
The Guyana Revenue Authority’s (GRA) boss, Kurshid Sattaur, like a bull dog, breathes down the neck of the ordinary man, taxes the barrels which bring in Xmas cheer and second hand items for the poor, while himself and those who receive super perks can just make a telephone call and have their Xmas imports virtually chaperoned to their homes.
I keep saying 2011 is not far off. The people of this country must register their abhorrence of the nuveau riche. The electorate should refuse to go to the polls thereby sending a clear message to all politicians that they are fed up with this deceit.
